Anna
is the Director and founder of Au Pair in Argentina and Au Pair in Andalucía. Born in London she comes from a large family and so has always been surrounded by children. She finds their energy and enthusiasm inspiring and for this reason decided she wanted her career to involve working with kids. As a result, when she was 18 she went to Madrid to au pair, where she not only had a fantastic experience, but also witnessed firsthand the benefits an au pair had on the children’s language and general development. Anna’s love of travelling brought her further afield to South America, where she noticed that the European concept of an au pair was not really understood, nor really existed, so she decided to fill this gap in the market. She chose Argentina as a starting point because of its close ties with the European culture and the nation’s interest in the English language, as well as her own love of the country, culture and people! The success of the Au Pair in Argentina office and her love of the Spanish language inspired her to open an office in the south of Spain where she felt there was a need and demand for experienced, reliable au pairs and a high quality, respected agency.
She uses her MA in Psychology to ensure the au pairs selected are of the highest quality and that both the au pair and family are matched using guidelines such as their expectations, living habits and hobbies, so that they both have the best experience possible whilst working together.
Julieta
is the Families Coordinator for Au Pair in Argentina. She was born in Mar del Plata but her parents moved to Bariloche when she was only a year old, so she calls herself, with much pride, a “patagónica”. Julieta will always be thankful to her parents for having brought her up in such a wonderful place in close contact with nature. She has always had a passion for traveling and as young as 18 Julieta enrolled in a study abroad program and went to live in the US with a foreign family and completed her high school degreee there. That only proved to be the beginning of her travels as she went on traveling years later to places like Australia, England, Africa, Spain, Turkey, and many places more. Her personal commitment with Au Pair in Argentina has to do with her “no-frontiers policy”. She loves people form different cultures getting together and finding that there are more things in common than differences. On the other hand, as an English teacher, she knows what a great benefit it represents to have an English speaker in the house, making it possible for children to practice English in a relaxed environment.
Jorgelina
is the Operations Manager at Au Pair in Argentina. She is originally from Mar del Plata in Argentina. She moved to live in Bs As in 1999 and in 2000 she got a degree in business administration. Since then she had worked for some multinational companies always in the services industry. She has decided to join Au Pair in team in 2010 as she loves the idea of connecting UK and Argentine cultures. She also has plenty of experience looking after children as he is an aunt since she was ten years old and has now 9 nieces and nephews! Her interests include singing, as she sings for 3 choirs, traveling and meeting people from all around the world.
Emily
works as Au Pair Coordinator for Au Pair in Argentina and Au Pair in Andalucía. She is originally from Gloucestershire in England. After graduating from Oxford Brookes University with a history degree she worked with a head hunting company in London until she decided that she would like to fulfil a long-time ambition of living in Argentina. After travelling around South America and working on a polo farm, she has been settled in Buenos Aires since December and absolutely loves the buzz and culture and general way of life. As well as working for Au Pair in Argentina and and Au Pair in Andalucía out here she also worked as an au pair herself and so can truly bring an insiders view when recruiting new au pairs. She also has plenty of experience looking after children in the UK, namely a lively young niece and nephew!
Maria
has a background in cross-culture negotiation and communication and strong ties to Spain and Argentina. Having grown up with au pairs and having been bilingual from a young age, Maria understands the value that an individual can have on shaping a child’s future, and the importance of having a second language both personally and professionally. Her role in Au Pair in Argentina began by helping Anna to establish the Argentine office, as well as successfully match some of the first family clients to their British au pairs. Maria is now based in the UK and deals with the recruitment and selection of the au pairs for Au Pair in Argentina and and Au Pair in Andalucía.
